How to replace the defroster Blend Door Actuator on 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo?

Begin defroster actuator replacement by taking out the right instrument panel insulator panel followed by instrument panel compartment screws and compartment removal. The defroster actuator located on the right side of the ip compartment opening demands the detachment of its two vacuum lines using a yellow vacuum line from the passenger compartment and a red vacuum line from the windshield area. After disconnecting the orange vacuum line from the recirculation actuator you should install a hand Vacuum Pump. Lift the defroster actuator out of its hvac module case assembly before opening the recirculation actuator door using a hand Vacuum Pump. When the recirculation actuator's door reaches full opening position the defroster actuator should be rotated right and upwards into the space between the ipc and hvac module. Separate the defroster actuator from its connection to the defroster door arm. First connect the defroster actuator to the defroster door arm then snap it onto the hvac module before fixing the vacuum line to the actuator. Reinstall the vacuum line to the recirculation actuator after removing the defroster actuator hand pump. Put the instrument panel compartment in place followed by its attachment screws then tighten the compartment screw to 2 n.m (18 lb in) before adding the right instrument insulator panel.
