In order to replace the rear disc brake backing plate, lift the vehicle, and remove the rear wheels. Take off the rear caliper bracket and rotor, release the tension of the park brake. Remove the rear hub assembly by removing the park brake cable. Replace the backing plate, reattach parts and set park brake before lowering the vehicle.
