Begin this procedure by taking out the left and right valve Rocker Arm covers before moving to the upper and lower intake manifolds. After removing the valve rocker arms and pushrods you should proceed to remove the lifter guide bolts before extracting the valve lifters. Thorough cleaning needs to occur for both valve train parts and gasket surfaces. Prior to setting the valve lifters into their original positions you must coat them with prelude gm p/n 1052365 or equivalent. Soak the threads with threadlock (GM P/N 12345382 or equivalent) but always adhere to the fastener notice in service precautions. After placing the valve guides and guide bolts into position you should torque the guide bolts to 10 nm (89 inches). Install the valve rocker arms and pushrods before rehanging the lower and upper intake manifolds and finally attaching the right and left valve Rocker Arm covers.
