How to replace the wiper arm on 2002 Buick Rendezvous?

Begin the Wiper Arm replacement by putting the car into accy mode and selecting delay on the Wiper Switch followed by turning off the ignition when arms rest at inner wipe. Take off the washer hose from its connection to the washer nozzle and undo the Wiper Arm cover. Apply the Wiper Arm puller (J39822) to remove the Wiper Arm from the transmission drive shaft while you unscrew its nut from this shaft. Clean the rotary shaft knurls by brushing them with fine wire. Begin setting up by adding the Wiper Blade onto the Wiper Arm followed by fitting the Wiper Arm onto the wiper transmission driveshaft. Position the measuring device perpendicular to the Wiper Blade tip then measure its distance to the solid edge of the windshield blackout at exactly 147 mm (5.79 in) above the glass blackout for the left side and 123 mm (4.84 in) below the glass blackout for the right side. Fasten the Wiper Arm nut to the wiper transmission shaft before adding the wiper cover and tightening it to 35 lb ft. Apply windshield washer solvent to the washer hose to make installation on the washer nozzle easier. After that, connect the hose to the nozzle and test the wiper system.
