Begin right Lash Adjuster replacement by first removing right valve rocker arms followed by extracting the stationary hydraulic lash adjusters (SHLA) from their bores. Perform an examination and cleaning procedure on lash adjusters before you begin installation. The procedure of exercising the stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster plunger must be avoided when there is no oil present in its lower pressure chamber. Place engine oil gm p/n 12378006 or equivalent into the stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster (SHLA) while being mindful to protect the pivot sphere area of the shea from scratches. Once the installation process is complete, install new shla units into their designated bores and restore the right valve rocker arms.
