How to replace the right lash adjuster on 2001 Cadillac DeVille?

To remove the right valve lifter, get rid of the right valve rocker arms and remove the stationary hydraulic lash adjusters (SHLA) from the bores. Clean and check the valve lifters. Always avoid stroking or cycling stationary hydraulic Lash Adjuster plunger without the oil in the lower pressure chamber during installation. Use clean engine oil gm p/n 12378006 or equal amount while being careful not to scratch the pivot sphere region of the shla. Lastly, fit in the new shla into the bores and re-fix the right valve rocker arms.
