How to replace the defroster Blend Door Actuator on 2002 Chevrolet Corvette?

Start defroster actuator replacement by removing the IP upper trim pad. The lower outlet duct from RH side window defogger needs to disconnect from windshield defroster duct followed by reconfiguration of the defogger duct toward the front. The first step requires uninstalling defroster actuator vacuum harness connectors. Insert a flat bladed tool between the defrost door lever base and HVAC module case wall to maintain the lever position while rotating the lever fully rearward (counterclockwise). You must lift the defroster actuator retaining tab before sliding the actuator toward its position next to the passenger SIR bracket. Mill the actuator upward and forward past the passenger SIR bracket and separate the pushrod from the defrost door lever before taking out the actuator. When installing the defroster actuator please connect its pushrod to the defrost door lever then place the actuator next to the passenger SIR bracket so it aligns with HVAC module case mounting pins. Adjust the actuator past the passenger SIR bracket by moving it downward and rearward to align with the mounting pins. Insert the pushrod between the defrost door lever and actuator before driving the actuator toward the HVAC module case to engage the retaining tab. Remove the flat bladed tool, reconnect the vacuum harness to the actuator, position the RH side window defogger lower outlet duct onto the windshield defroster duct, and finish by installing the IP upper trim pad.
