2004 Buick LeSabre Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the rear Fuse Box on 2004 Buick LeSabre?
A: The process of replacing a rear electrical center or junction block begins by removing the rear seat cushion followed by negative Battery Cable disconnection. Take off the rear fuse block cover after making sure the ignition key stays in the off or lock mode while all electrical loads are off to avoid hazards. Remove the nut attaching the positive Battery Cable to the rear electrical center as well as the cable. Release the four retaining clips afterward. Start by lifting the electrical center then flipping it over and detach the three connector fasteners before disconnecting all block connectors. After installation reconnect each electrical connector to the fuse block before starting and tightening its fasteners to 7 n.m (62 lb in). The rear electrical center should be inserted into the base assemble by ensuring all retaining clips are locked into place after reconnecting the positive Battery Cable and its nut while tightening the nut to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). The last step includes reinstalling the rear seat cushion while reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
