  • Q: How to replace the underhood fuse box on Buick LeSabre?
    A:
The procedure to replace junction block and underhood electrical center begins with disconnecting the negative Battery Cable followed by removing the underhood fuse block cover. First unfasten the positive battery cables fastener inside the underhood fuse block and then unclip and move aside the wire harness from the accumulator cover. Gently move the evaporator hose away from the accumulator cover after unclipping its retaining mechanism before you remove the cover. To access the underhood fuse block connectors you should first loosen the base retaining fasteners before disconnecting the four cam lock connectors which can be elevated from their position. First disconnect the engine harness connector then take out the underhood fuse block from the vehicle before you remove base fasteners of the assembly and the base itself. Install the underhood fuse block base inside the vehicle by tightening its fasteners to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Insert the block connectors afterward tightening the 3 retaining bolts to 6.6 n.m (58 lb in). Once you press the underhood fuse block into the 4 retaining locks you will hear an audible click after which you should install the accumulator cover and wiring harness into the provided clip on the cover. Secure the positive Battery Cable fastener onto the underhood fuse block and tight it to 15 n.m (11 lb ft). Wrap the installation of the underhood fuse block's cover followed by moving the evaporator hose to the accumulator cover while using the retaining clip to secure it before reconnecting the negative Battery Cable.
