2004 Cadillac Seville Antenna Cable Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to Replace an Antenna Cable on 2004 Cadillac Seville?
A: Start the Antenna Cable replacement process by taking out the Center Console followed by left front seat along with left front carpet retainer, left rear carpet retainer, center pillar garnish molding, rear seat back, and left rear sail panel. The Antenna Cable extension needs to be unscrewed from the Antenna Cable after which you must lift both front and rear left carpet to reveal the vehicle wiring harness. Cut the antenna coaxial cable at the rear seat area of the harness through the vehicle harness conduit cover while ensuring you retain only the radio Antenna Cable. First detach the radio antenna coaxial cable from its antenna module and divide the Antenna Cable from the wiring harnesses above the rear shelf panel by cutting the Antenna Cable end at the harness rear shelf area. New coaxial antenna cables require installation through wiring harness conduit that runs between the ip area of the vehicle to reach the rear seat region where the vehicle harness conduit cover needs to be installed. Return the carpet layer over the vehicle wiring harness before you guide the Antenna Cable toward the antenna module and attach it. Insert the radio Antenna Cable into the antenna module wiring harness and clips while directing the cable to avoid the rear seat components during installation and removal. Secure the Antenna Cable using a tie strap or tape to the electrical wiring harness in the rear seat area before connecting the radio Antenna Cable to the radio extension cable. Proceed with reinstalling the Center Console followed by left front seat and left rear sail panel then center pillar garnish molding and left front carpet retainer then left rear carpet retainer and finally the rear seat back.
