How to replace the steering wheel on 2004 Chevrolet Corvette?

Initiating Steering Wheel replacement requires elimination of the Steering Wheel inflator module and the horn electrical connector. Install the steering column lock pin (J42640) to the steering column before removing the Steering Wheel set nut which you will discard. Put on the Steering Wheel puller legs (J42120) and the Steering Wheel puller (J1859-A) to the Steering Wheel before tightening the puller center screw against the steering column shaft for Steering Wheel removal. Install the new Steering Wheel onto the steering column where alignment marks should be checked for proper positioning. The new Steering Wheel set nut needs installation followed by torque tightening to 41 nm (30 ft. Lbs.). Finish the job by taking out the steering column lock pin (J42640) while connecting the horn electrical connector and mounting back the Steering Wheel inflator module.
