How to perform a front Brake Calipers overhaul on 2005 Buick LeSabre?

To update the front brake caliper you need the caliper piston seal installer under part number j 35777. Start the brake caliper removal by carefully unpaying the front brake device. Keep fingers away from the piston area to avoid possible serious injuries during basic handling of compressed air. Put clean cloth inside the caliper barrel and use small air pressure to help piston exit the bore. Push the caliper piston out of the bore by injecting low-pressurecompressed air through the fluid inlet of the caliper. Insert a small plastic tool into the seal counterbore of the caliper to remove first the piston dust boot seal before taking out the piston seal from the caliper bore. Take out the bleeding valve and cover it from the caliper part. Pump Brake Caliper Piston bore and seal groove clean as well as piston surface using denatured alcohol or replacement. Then dry them using filtered air that lacks lubrication. Examine the caliper opening for holes, scratches, depressions, deep rust or rust areas; if you can wipe off light surface rust with fine sandpaper keep the caliper but replace it if rust cannot be removed. Replace the entire caliper unit because corroded caliper bores with cracks or scores cannot be trusted. Determine if the caliper piston chrome plating has become damaged and order a new unit when required. Insert the new seal into the caliper bore after coating it with delco supreme 11 brake fluid (part #12377967 or comparable) from a new container. Put the caliper piston into the bore then thread the new piston boot seal onto the piston using the caliper piston seal installer to fully insert the boot into its designated place. Set the caliper back onto the vehicle after fitting and tightening the bleeder valve and cap with proper security.
