How to replace the surge tank inlet coolant pipe on 2005 Cadillac XLR?

Start by draining the cooling system before you remove the Radiator support for surge tank inlet hose replacement. Once the clamp pliers (J 38185) disconnect tension from the surge tank hose clamp users can move this clamp to another position on the surge tank before removing the surge tank inlet hose. Proceed with hose detachment from the Throttle Body assembly then from the Radiator. The inside diameters of new surge tank inlet hoses require cleaning coolant for lubrication before installation takes place. After attaching the surge tank inlet hose to the Radiator use hose clamp pliers (J 38185) to reposition the clamp at the Radiator before anchoring the hose at the Throttle Body assembly with another clamp placement. To complete the process connect the hose to the surge tank then return the Radiator support and fill the cooling system with the proper fluid.
