Clear debris and corrosion from pad mounting hardware surfaces when reusing the bracket. Also inspect disc Brake Pad retainers for bent tabs, heavy corrosion, loose contacts to mounting bracket, and loose pads; replace any damaged parts you find. To disconnect the brake caliper you must remove its mounting bracket screws first and then pull out the bracket from the Steering Knuckle. Look for problems like bends, cracks, or damage with the caliper bracket. Also test the brake caliper guide pins (1, 4) for movement and evaluate guide pin boot state to replace if signs of limitations, looseness, binding, damage, or wear appear. Put the brake caliper mounting bracket over the Steering Knuckle and avoid cleaning the thread with a typical tap. Tighten the bolts up to 115 nm (85 ft. Lbs.) for installation. Add thin silicone brake lubricant to hardware parts before fitting the pad retainers onto their mounting bracket. The Brake Pad with a wear sensor should go on the inside edge of the rotor with its leading edge facing rotors during forward wheel motion before being fitted to the mounting bracket. Take out the support tool and position the brake caliper back on top of the brake pads onto its mounting bracket.
