When fixing the rear brake caliper belt you must first secure the brake caliper with mechanic's wire to stop it from falling. Keep the hydraulic flexible brake hose attached. Remove the brake caliper from its bracket first and keep the hose connected before taking out the brake pads along with their retainers from the bracket. When using the same bracket clean the pad contacting areas from all detritus and rust buildup. Check the disc Brake Pad retainers for damage to mounting tabs, rust build-up, and to see if bracket and disc movement is loose; replace damaged hardware at this time. You need to remove the bolts that attach the caliper mounting bracket to the rear axle before disconnecting it. Visualize the bracket for signs of breaks and cracks that make the entire part unsafe to use again. Look for easy movement and wear on the brake caliper guide pins (1, 4) of the guide pin boots while also checking for any limitations or damage; use replacements when necessary. When installing the brake caliper mounting bracket onto the rear axle use this self-retaining fastener joint without thread-locking compounds and refrain from cleaning threads to avoid damage. At 115 n.m (85 lb ft) torque, secure the brake caliper mounting bracket bolts into place. Apply silicone brake lubricant to pad hardware pieces while leaving the rest of the parts clean. Install the Brake Pad retainers to the Brake Caliper Bracket after you prepare their surfaces. Position wear sensor equipped disc brake pads with their leading edge facing forward as part of the rotor during forward wheel movement or position the bottom side towards the brake rotor when mounted in vehicle position. After placing the brake pads onto the Brake Caliper Bracket you must remove the support and position the brake caliper back over the brake pads.

Start by lifting and stabilizing the automobile after which you must remove the rear tire together with its wheel assembly. A substantial amount of mechanic's wire should support the brake caliper in order to protect the hydraulic flexible brake hose during its removal from the caliper. Set the brake caliper aside from the Brake Caliper Bracket maintaining connection between the hydraulic brake flexible hose. Start by taking out the brake pads and Brake Pad retainers located on the Brake Caliper Bracket and continue with the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts to remove the rear Brake Caliper Bracket. An inspection of the brake mounting and hardware should be performed with immediate replacement of the Brake Caliper Bracket whenever cracks or damage are detected. When installing the Brake Caliper Bracket keep the thread free from standard tap cleaning since this joint operates through self-retention mechanics. Secure the brake caliper mounting bracket bolts at 130 nm (96 lb ft). Replace the brake pads together with the pad retainers onto the Brake Caliper Bracket and reinstall the brake caliper. To complete the repair install the rear tire and wheel assembly after lowering the vehicle then push the brake pedal twice or thrice to allow the rear disc brake pads to settle against the rotor.

Apply a thin layer of high-temperature silicone brake lubricant.

Clean the pad hardware mating surfaces thoroughly to remove any debris and corrosion.

Inspect for bent tabs, excessive corrosion, and looseness; replace them if any issues are found.

Ensure it is positioned correctly in relation to the rotor.

Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic's wire whenever it is separated from its mount while the hydraulic flexible brake hose remains connected.

Install the brake pad retainers and the brake pads to the brake caliper bracket, followed by the brake caliper.

Clean the pad hardware mating surfaces thoroughly.

Check for movement and the condition of the guide pin boots, ensuring there are no restrictions, looseness, seizing, or tears; replace as needed.
