How to Replace a Rear Brake Caliper Bracket on 2008 Chevrolet Malibu?

To change the rear Brake Caliper Bracket you must first stable the vehicle and take off the rear wheel and tire. Attached the brake caliper with strong metal wire when it comes apart from its holding point so the hydraulic Brake Line stays protected from damage and leakage. Take off the brake caliper from its bracket without pulling the hydraulic brake hose. Unfasten both brake pads from their mount then extract the Brake Pad retainers from the Brake Caliper Bracket. Next separate the caliper mounting bracket by removing its bolts. When brake parts show cracking or damage on brake mounting hardware and the Brake Caliper Bracket replace both components. During mounting place the new Brake Caliper Bracket without using thread lock products or standard taps on the fastener joint. Fasten the brake caliper mounting bolts to 130 n.m (96 lb ft) then set the Brake Pad retainers along with brake pads on the Brake Caliper Bracket. Put the brake caliper back and place the wheel and tire before lowering the vehicle. Press the brake pedal two to three times to position the discs under the pads.
