How to replace the rear brake calipers on 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

After lifting the vehicle for work space put on your safety glasses and lift off the tire and wheel assembly. Move the rear brake hose bolt off the brake caliper to seal the brake hose opening before losing too much brake fluid. Dispose of the copper gaskets and remove them from the brake hose bolt. After removing the wheel, the next step is to uninstall the rear brake caliper mounting bolts before taking out the brake caliper from its mounting bracket. Lubricate the brake caliper guide pin with denatured alcohol followed by non-lubricated filtered air blowing to dry it before reuse. Use high temperature silicone brake lubricant on the guide pin while keeping the brake pad hardware free from the lube. Position the rear brake caliper assembly on the mounting bracket with brake caliper guide pins and secure the pins at 31 Nm (23 ft. lbs.) torque. Place new copper gaskets on the brake hose bolt and join the bolt end to the rear brake caliper. Tighten it to 40 Nm. Depress the hydraulic brake lines to drain the fluid before putting back the tire wheel unit and allowing the vehicle to reach ground.
