How to replace the control arm bushing on 2005 Chevrolet Venture?

Before changing the Control Arm bushing, you will need to lift the vehicle and support it, then place a utility stand forward of the coil spring. Take out the bolts on the Control Arm from the rear axle and lower the axle until you can get to the bushing. Put a mark on the Control Arm bushing's orientation in the lower Control Arm, then use the j 28685 (J 28685) rear suspension bushing remover/installer and the j 9519-e (J 9519-E) ball joint remover/installer kit to take the Control Arm bushing off. Align the flat edge of the bushing with the mark on the Control Arm and then install it at a 45-degree angle by using the j 28685 (J 28685) and j 9519-e (J 9519-E) tools. Check that the bushing juts out 9.8 mm (0.39 in) from the Control Arm, and confirm correct depth when the end of the bushing is at the indicator line on the j 28685 (J 28685). Support the rear axle with a utility stand, bolt the Control Arm to the rear axle, take away the stand, and then lower the vehicle.
