How to service and repair the control arm bushing in the rear suspension on Chevrolet Venture?

To service and repair the Control Arm bushing on the rear suspension, begin by raising and supporting the vehicle. Attach a utility stand to carry the Control Arm in front of the coil spring. Take out the rear axle Control Arm bolts from the rear axle and bring down the rear axle to expose the Control Arm bushing. Mark the Control Arm bushing at the Control Arm on the bottom Control Arm. Use the j 28685 rear suspension bushing remover/installer (J 28685) and the j 9519-e ball joint remover/installer kit (J 9519-E) in removing the Control Arm bushing. For installing, bring the flat edge of the bushing to the mark on the Control Arm to place it on a 45-degree angle, using the j 28685 (J 28685) and j 9519-e (J 9519-E). Ensure that the bushing extends 9.8 mm (0.39 inch) from the Control Arm, check the proper depth when the end of the bushing lines up with the indicator line on the j 28685 (J 28685). It is necessary to lift the rear axle using the utility stand, to connect the Control Arm bolt to the rear axle, to take out the utility stand and then to drop the vehicle.
