How to replace the rear sliding side door lock on 2005 GMC Savana 2500?

Begin the replacement of the sliding side door rear lock by taking out the sliding side door lower trim panel. Detach the lock rods connecting to the sliding side door rear lock and remove the bolts holding it in place to the door. Next remove the sliding side door rear lock both from the door and the vehicle. Reinstall the sliding side door rear lock inside the vehicle followed by its installation into the door. You should follow the Fastener Notice steps when installing the components. Prepare the sliding side door rear lock by adding the bolts then secure them at 10 N.m (89 lb in), afterward reinstall the lock rods to the sliding side door rear lock and complete the installation by placing back the sliding side door lower trim panel.
