The replacement of front crankshaft oil seals requires the proper sequence of removing first the A/C Compressor and power steering pump Drive Belt and then the generator and water pump Drive Belt and finally the crankshaft balancer. A flat-bladed tool is necessary for extracting the crankshaft oil seal. The j29184 oil seal installer (J29184) should be used to correctly set a new crankshaft front oil seal while maintaining a dry condition for both the seal and crankshaft balancer sealing surfaces. The technical procedure requires reinstalling the crankshaft balancer followed by the generator and water pump Drive Belt and finishing with the A/C Compressor and power steering pump Drive Belt.
