How to replace the left bank camshaft on 2006 Cadillac SRX?

The left bank Camshaft replacement starts by removing both the upper Intake Manifold and lower Intake Manifold and continues with removal of the left bank Camshaft cover with the Camshaft sensors and the Camshaft position actuator solenoid. The Crankshaft rotation socket (EN 46111) forms the next step whereby users should use it to rotate the Crankshaft towards a neutral position. Throughout this process they should ensure that the Camshaft flats face parallel to the Camshaft cover rail. Use an open-end wrench at the Camshaft hex one to prevent Camshaft/engine rotation but do not detach the Camshaft position actuator bolt at this moment. Take the Timing Chain retention tool (EN 46108) and tighten the en 46108 nuts while the tool properly engages into the Timing Chain. Mark the Timing Chain and its corresponding positions on both Camshaft position actuators before removing the bolt and camshafts. The installation procedure includes positioning the camshafts on the cylinder head while fitting Camshaft actuators with their marks aligned but avoid tightening the Camshaft position actuator bolt. The worker should install the camshafts followed by the Camshaft bearing caps before removing en 46108 to install the Camshaft position actuators while using an open-end wrench on the Camshaft hex to stop rotation. To complete the installation you should put on the intake Camshaft position actuator solenoid followed by the Camshaft sensors then the Crankshaft balancer before adding the Camshaft cover and uniting the upper Intake Manifold with the lower Intake Manifold.
