Then, take out the brake pads and Brake Pad retainers from the Brake Caliper Bracket, then the brake caliper guide pins and brake caliper pin boots. After that, remove the Brake Caliper Bracket mounting bolts and then remove Brake Caliper Bracket from the knuckle, checking the latter for any cracks or scratches that would require changing. To install, mount the new or inspected Brake Caliper Bracket to the knuckle, making sure to clean the bolts and threaded holes of debris prior to applying thread locker gm p/n 12345493 (Canada P/N 10953488) to two-thirds of the bolt's threaded length on the lower caliper bracket bolts. Let the tacky coagulate for around ten minutes prior to tightening front Brake Caliper Bracket bolts to 130 nm (96 ft. Lbs.). Install the caliper guide pin boots making sure they are fully seated, then caliper guide pins and that they also sit properly. Go on and install the Brake Pad retainers and brake pads on the Brake Caliper Bracket finally attach the brake caliper to the front Brake Caliper Bracket .
