How to replace the rear brake line on 2006 Cadillac STS?

Lift the vehicle and maintain support before you start working on the rear brake hose replacement process. When doing this task you need to replace the complete assembly of the right rear brake hose including the intermediate brake hose. Take off the left wheel and tire before you clean all debris from brake hose and brake pipe fittings. Plugin a rubber seal onto the open brake pipe end to protect brake fluid during the brake hose replacement process. Push the retaining clip off the brake hose tip while using a flat blade tool to ease the hose retainer down. Detach the brake hose from the frame bracket and the brake hose to caliper bolt at the brake caliper before removing the brake hose from the vehicle. Strike the threaded brake hose end onto a shop towel to dislodge its gasket. Peel off the stuck brake caliper and brake hose gaskets of copper material from their surfaces. Afterward, put a rubber plug into the caliper bolt opening of the brake caliper. To install this part you must mount the new copper brake hose gaskets along with the brake hose and brake hose bolt onto the brake hose. Also normalize verbalization when possible. Connect the brake hose bolt to the brake caliper and secure it at 50 nm torque setting. Install the brake hose onto the frame assembly properly to avoid twist or bend which can lead to damage. After fixing the brake hose retainer secure it with the brake hose then remove the rubber seal on crossover pipe and connect the brake pipe fitting . Ensure a tight assembly by tightening the joint with 18 nm torque . Complete the process by letting hydraulic brake fluid flow out, putting back the left tire and wheel parts, and lowering the vehicle.
