How to replace the rear brake line on 2007 Cadillac STS?

Start the repair by lifting and holding the vehicle and taking out the wheel and tire set from the left side. Put stoppers over the brake pipe opening to keep fluid inside before you scrub away dirt from both brake parts. Pull the brake hose away from the crossover pipe fitting and slide out its retaining clip using a flat-bladed tool to detach it. Pull out both components from the vehicle by removing the brake hose from the frame assembly and brake hose to caliper bolt from the brake caliper. Strike the threaded brake hose end onto a shop towel to take out the brake caliper bolt gasket then discard it. Remove the 2 copper brake hose gaskets on the caliper bolt or hose end that might be stuck when they come off. Push a rubber plug into the brake caliper until it fits the brake hose to caliper bolt hole. To set up the job install new copper brake hose gaskets then take off the rubber plug from the caliper bolt hole of the brake hose. Fit the brake hose with its new gaskets along with the brake hose bolt to the tube. Attach the brake hose bolt to the caliper and tighten it to 50 n.m (37 lb ft) without distorting the hose tube. First put the brake hose onto the frame base. Following that, set the brake hose retainer onto the brake hose and take off the rubber seal from the brake pipe fitting end before fitting the brake pipe to the brake hose and tightening it to 18 n.m (13 lb ft). Drain brake fluid from the system then put back the left wheel and tire before lowering the vehicle.
