How to replace the Parking Brake Shoe on 2006 Cadillac STS?

Before starting shoe replacement work you must remove the Wheel Bearing and hub assembly. Turn the parking brake adjusting nut for the purpose of removing all available park brake shoe adjustment. First remove the Parking Brake Shoe retaining spring before extracting the park brake shoe assembly by grasping it and gently spreading before pulling it out from the actuator assembly. The first step for installation involves putting the park brake shoe assembly in position in the same fashion then installing the Parking Brake Shoe retaining spring . Return the Wheel Bearing and hub assembly to its position then readjust the Parking Brake Shoe-to-drum spacing before lowering down the vehicle.
