How to replace the brake master cylinder on 2006 Cadillac STS?

Start replacing the Brake Master Cylinder by unplugging the Brake Fluid Level Sensor and brake pipe connections behind it. Stop any brake fluid leaks through the exposed ends by plugging them with rubber covers. First free the master cylinder mounting stud by taking out the push nut from the bracket. Then move the bracket outwards and remove the two cylinder mounting nuts to take out the master cylinder. When keeping the cylinder take off the reservoir from its housing unit. Assembly starts by fixing the Brake Master Cylinder reservoir back to the master cylinder unit when removed and following hydraulic brake bleeding procedures on the bench. Safely place the air inlet support bracket on the mounting stud and fasten it using the push nut. Attach the brakes pipes plugs to the master cylinder and torque each fitting to 28 ft. Lbs. (38 Nm). Put back the electrical connector onto the Brake Fluid Level Sensor while performing the hydraulic brake system bleed.
