The intermediate park brake cable must be detached from the park brake connector by pulling it downward at its base near the connector. Unfasten the right rear park brake cable by extracting it from its connection with the intermediate park brake cable at the connector. The Park Brake Cable Release Tool (J37043) allows users to unfasten the right rear brake cable retainer and extract the right rear park brake cable from its bracket in the right rear park brake cable bracket. Repeat the procedure with the Park Brake Cable Release Tool (J37043) to compress the right rear brake cable retainer so the right rear park brake cable can be taken away from the right rear cable bracket. Disassemble the right rear park brake cable connection to the right rear park brake actuator lever before you detach the right rear park brake rear cable. Install the right rear park brake cable to the right rear park brake cable bracket by ensuring the locking tabs fulfill their proper position. Install the right rear park brake cable to the right rear park brake actuator lever after fitting it to the mounting support bracket with proper locking tab positioning. Attach the intermediate park brake cable connector to the right rear park brake cable then lower the intermediate park brake cable near the connector and fix it to the park brake connector.
