2006 GMC Envoy Door Lock Actuator Parts and Q&A
Q: How to replace the rear door lock actuator on 2006 GMC Envoy?
A: The replacement procedure starts with removing the door trim panel and then continuing with removal of the water deflector and Door Latch Assembly. Two screws fasten the actuator to the lock so they must be removed first. After lifting and rotating the actuator you can remove the rubber Bumper from the latch and then take out the actuator from the latch. You must fasten the rubber Bumper onto the latch before rotating the actuator toward the latch to complete the Bumper engagement. To properly install the assembly make sure the initial gear interlocking teeth of the actuator match precisely with those of the latch. Fasten the actuator on top of the latch using two screws before tightening them to 0.75 n.m (6 lb in). The installation begins with reattaching the lock to the door before attaching the water deflector then completing with the door trim panel.
