To replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor, you should first organize the required tools, such as the Angle Meter (J 45059). First, prepare to remove the crankshaft balancer, then to disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor. Second, take off the CKP sensor shield, CKP sensor studs and finally the sensor. During installation install the CKP sensor and studs and tighten the studs to 20 N.m (15 lb ft) plus an additional 40 degrees with help from the Angle Meter (J 45059). After that, replace the CKP sensor shield and plug the engine harness electrical connector back to CKP sensor and then install the crankshaft balancer.
