How to replace the shock absorber on 2007 Cadillac CTS?

Start by elevating and supporting the vehicle while removing its tire and wheel before changing the shock module. The first step requires you to remove the upper Control Arm's pinch bolt from the Steering Knuckle as well as its nut before disconnecting the upper Ball Joint from the Steering Knuckle. Proceed by unbolting the shock module lower mounting bolts followed by lowering the vehicle. Take off the retaining air conditioning line nut located on the shock tower before setting aside the air conditioning line bracket. The shock module upper bolts require removal before extracting the module from the vehicle. Mount the shock module into the vehicle according to the fastener notice during reinstallation. Fasten the shock module upper bolts with torque at 112 n.m (83 lb ft). Secure the air conditioning line retaining nut to the studs while tightening it to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Secure the shock module lower mounting bolts after raising the vehicle, torquing them to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). After connecting the Steering Knuckle to its upper Ball Joint install the upper Control Arm to Steering Knuckle pinch bolt along with its corresponding nut then tighten the bolt to 60 n.m (44 lb ft). Put back the wheel with tire while lowering the vehicle below.
