• Q: How to replace the ignition coil for Bank 2 on 2007 Cadillac STS?

  A: In order to replace Ignition Coil for bank 2, first turn off the ignition and remove engine cover, while making sure not to disconnect fuel pipes or hoses. During withdrawal of Ignition Coil from cylinder 2, there is an Intake Manifold removal and reinstallation that involves unhooking air cleaner duct from Throttle Body and the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose from right bank camshaft cover with good attachment of upper Intake Manifold to lower Intake Manifold. The next step is to take out Intake Manifold bolts and Intake Manifold brace bolts (1 and 2) with the brace, and then they should place the upper Intake Manifold in the lower Intake Manifold so that you get enough room to take out the coils. After safely switching to the guest mode, move to disconnect the Ignition Coil electrical connector(s) and remove the Ignition Coil bolt(s) from the vehicle and also remove the Ignition Coil(s). Installation: for installation, reinstall the Ignition Coil(s) in place, tightening the Ignition Coil bolt(s) to 10 n.m (89 lb in) and reinstall the Ignition Coil(s) connector(e). If required, mount the upper Intake Manifold.
