  A: The first step of ABS Control Module to LC3 replacement involves cleaning all surfaces surrounding both the ABS Control Module and brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV). First use a wrench to remove the 4 ABS Control Module-to-BPMV retaining bolts along with the BPMV. After that successfully pull the ABS Control Module away from the BPMV. Before installing the BPMV sealing surface requires cleaning with denatured alcohol and a clean shop cloth while ensuring the motor connector correctly seats itself on the ABS Control Module. Secure the ABS Control Module to BPMV electrical terminals by aligning them and fit the 4 retaining bolts which need an X-pattern torque of 5 N.m (44 lb in).
