  A: Start by removing the console rear trim plate followed by full release of the park brake lever to replace the parking brake rear cable. First loosen the adjusting nut until tension on the front cable decreases and free the appropriate rear park brake cable end from the cable equalizer. Support the vehicle while lifting it upwards. When reusing the park brake cable, you must free the tab located on the underbody retainer to detach the cable. For new cable installation users must remove the underbody retainer which is connected to the vehicle body. The c-shaped retainer should be pried off the bracket at the rear axle trailing arm pivot without cable tension while removing the cable from the cable guide tube.
