2007 Chevrolet Malibu Brake Fluid Level Sensor Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the brake fluid level sensor on 2007 Chevrolet Malibu?
A: You should first remove the Brake Master Cylinder mounting nuts from the booster to position the master cylinder while maintaining access to the Brake Fluid Level Sensor without disrupting brake lines. Pull off the Brake Fluid Level Sensor electrical connector then push down the sensor retaining tabs with pliers to extract it from the master cylinder. Place the Brake Fluid Level Sensor in its position under the master cylinder reservoir and push until the retaining tabs snap into place. Connect the electrical parts to the sensor making sure both the cylinder gasket and the barrel gasket face the empty fluid reservoir and show no damage due to cuts. Reposition the Brake Master Cylinder onto the booster assembly at last.
