    A: Start Brake Caliper Bracket replacement by firmly pressing the brake pedal since you will move the vehicle afterwards. Remove the brake caliper from its bracket and support it with thick mechanic's wire to maintain hydraulic brake hose protection during work. Disassemble the Brake Caliper Bracket through its sequence of steps which include detaching brake pads and respectively removing Brake Pad retainers, guide pins, and pin boots. After removing the bolts from the knuckle surface, you can take out the Brake Caliper Bracket to complete the step. When the Brake Caliper Bracket shows signs of damage or breaks we must replace it with a new one. You need to clean both threads of the brake caliper bolts and knuckle holes before applying threadlocker gm p/n 12345493 (Canada P/N 10953488) to 2/3 of each bolt length. Let the threadlocker cure for 10 minutes before installing the new Brake Caliper Bracket to the knuckle. After threadlocker cures for 10 minutes install and tighten the two Brake Caliper Bracket bolts to 130 n.m (96 lb ft). Insert all caliper guide pin boots completely before putting in guide pins and checking their proper fit into the retaining seat. Position brake pads and keepers on the Brake Caliper Bracket then fix the whole assembly to the front brake housing.
