How to replace the front brake disc on 2008 Cadillac STS?

To complete the task of replacing the front Brake Disc, start by lifting and supporting the vehicle. Let off the brake, then unbolt and expose the two brake caliper locking bolts, remove the brake torques the nut, and then detach the Brake Disc, bolts, and the brake caliper assembly from the spindle. Take off the brake caliper and caliper mounting bracket as a whole from the suspension knuckle with no pressure on the hose. Mark the location of the Brake Disc to the wheel studs, taken out the Brake Disc mounting screw and the Brake Disc. Resurface any rust or impurities from the hub/axle flange using the wheel hub resurfacing kit ( J 42450-A) and from the Brake Disc using the rotor resurfacing kit (J41013). Check the mating surfaces for debris and install the Brake Disc to the hub/axle flange using the matchmark to assure position. Mount the Brake Disc mounting screw and tighten it with 14 n.m (124 lb in). If the Brake Disc was involved in a brake system repair, the 'assembled lateral runout (LRO)' must be measured, which is needed to maximize the performance. When the lro goes above specifications, address it in the right manner. Finally assemble and attach the brake caliper and bracket assembly to the suspension knuckle, reinstall the tire and wheel assembly, lower the vehicle and if necessary, burnish the pads and disc.
