  A: Beginning the right rear parking brake cable replacement process requires that you raise and support the vehicle. Disassemble the wheel assembly from the right rear position of the vehicle. The intermediate park brake cable should be pulled down near the park brake cable connector before separating it from the park brake connector. The right rear park brake cable needs to be disconnected from its position on the intermediate park brake cable connector . The Park Brake Cable Release Tool (J 37043) enables you to disengage the right rear brake cable retainer while you pull out the right rear park brake cable from its bracket. Repeat the procedure using the Park Brake Cable Release Tool (J 37043) to depress right rear brake cable retainer before removing the right rear park brake cable from its right rear cable bracket . Disconnect and remove the right rear park brake rear cable by removing it from the right rear park brake actuator lever. Compatibly seat the locking tabs as you install the right rear park brake cable to its bracket. Connect the right rear park brake cable to the right rear park brake actuator lever and to the mounting support bracket by ensuring proper seating of all locking tabs. Install the intermediate park brake cable connector to the right rear park brake cable then pull down the intermediate park brake cable near its connector to join it with the park brake connector .
