How to replace the rear Motor and Transmission Mount on 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt?

First, lift and support the vehicle before replacing the transmission rear mount. Once more, drill one hole in the rear transaxle mount and re-weld. Next, drill and tap two 3/8in bolts one inch from either end of the rear transaxle mount to frame. Lastly, but only remove the rear transaxle mount to frame bolts and then extract the rear transaxle mount. For installation, mount the rear transaxle mount and heat shield installing starting the bolts hand while ensuring fastener notice compliance. Tighten the rear transaxle mount to frame bolts, 60 n.m (44 lb ft), and rotate the rear transaxle mount heats shield clockwise until the tab is seated on mount bracket. Hands begin the rear transaxle mount through bolt, permitting the front and rear transmission mounts to settle with the through bolts loosened. Loosen the front trans mount through bolt, then tighten the transmission mount through bolts in the sequence; rear bolt to 100 n.m (74 lb ft), and front bolt to 100 n.m (74.lb ft). Finally, lower the vehicle.
