How to balance the engine mount, motor and transmission mount on Chevrolet Cobalt?

The first step for engine transmission mount balance requires vehicle support while it rests on blocks. The procedure begins with front transaxle mount through bolt and rear transaxle mount through bolt loosening while the vehicle reaches floor position. Two floor jacks together with wood blocks should support the powertrain assembly underneath the engine and transaxle region. The second step involves releasing the transaxle mount to transaxle bolts and engine mount to bracket bolts. Both floor jacks require shifting to form a 1/8 inch space between the mount and bracket. Tighten the transaxle mount to transaxle bolts first to 45 nm using the specified sequential order before you apply 50 nm to the engine mount to bracket bolts using the same sequence. After removing floor jacks beneath the Oil Pan shake the powertrain vigorously beginning at the front then moving to the rear and let it settle before the process ends. Follow up by tightening the rear through bolt of the transaxle mount to 100 nm (74 lb ft) while also tightening the front through bolt of the transaxle mount to 100 nm (74 lb ft) prior to lowering the vehicle.
