How to replace the LH Motor and Transmission Mount on 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt?

To replace the left side transmission mount, first, one will need to remove the underhood Electrical center bracket and reposition the electrical center. Support with a floor jack with a wood piece in between the jack and the transmission. Another thing you need to do is remove the transmission mount to transmission bracket bolts as well as the transmission mount to mid-rail bolts. Gradually lower with the floor jack removing the transmission mount off the car. For its installation, fasten the transmission mount to the mid-rail, and the mid-rail bolts will need to be tightened to 27 N.m (20 lb-ft). Increase the transmission until it meets the transmission mount, make sure transmission mount to transmission bolts are hand started without prying. Hand start the transmission mount to bracket bolts in the sequence; rear bolt, middle bolt, and front bolt, subsequently tighten these bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft). Finally, re-mount the underhood electrical center bracket and place the electrical center on it.
