The first step involves removing both the Steering Column and steering shaft seal and sensor retainer from the vehicle. Ensure you place the reusable sensor at center position prior to its removal. Proceed with removing the sensor assembly and lower spring retainer ahead of the adapter and bearing assembly. Installation starts with the adapter and bearing assembly alignment to the steering shaft assembly followed by installation of the lower spring retainer. Installation of the sensor assembly requires a 12 o'clock pointed rotation position for the steering shaft assembly. First put the sensor assembly onto the steering shaft assembly before adding the sensor retainer and seal. Reattach the Steering Column to the vehicle followed by enabling the sir system.
