How to replace the body side emblem/nameplate on 2008 Chevrolet Express 2500?

Prior to replacing the body side emblem/nameplate heat it with a J 25070 Heat Gun (J 25070) held just 6 inches from the panel and rotated over the surface for 30 seconds. Those using a flat-bladed plastic tool can safely remove the badge from the panel before cleaning off 3M product 07501 adhesive from both sides with it. Clean the damaged side of the panel with soap and water before drying it using a soft fabric cloth. Use 3M(R) General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner 08984 to clean the surface then endust with a clean lint-free cotton item moistened with a 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water solution. Accurately set the template before you place the emblem/nameplate at these marks: Space it 35.0 mm +/- 2 mm (1.4 in +/- 0.1 in) away from the left vertical edge, set it 1125.0 mm +/- 2 mm (44.3 in +/- 0.1 in) from the bottom horizontal panel, and extend it 35.0mm +/- 2 mm (1.4 in +/- 0.1 in) further up from the vertical edge. Start panel installation after preheating the body to 19°C (66°F) using the J 25070 device. Use 3M(R) Super Automotive Attachment Tape or similar foam tape but avoid touching its surface and keep it away from dirt. Select one tape from 3M(R) 06380 (white), 06377 (black), or 06382 (gray). Press the symbol onto its position on top of the tape or magnetic strip for 30 seconds and remove the covering materials afterward.
