How to replace the body side emblem/nameplate on 2009 Chevrolet Express 2500?

Warm the emblem/nameplate with a J 25070 Heat Gun by running the gun 152 mm (6 inches) above the surface for 30 seconds in rotating strokes. Use a flat-bladed plastic tool to remove the emblem/nameplate from its panel position then use 3M Product # 07501 or equivalent to clean all adhesive residue from the panel and back of the emblem/nameplate. Clean the targeted panel using soap then water followed by absorption using a lint-free cloth. Wash the panel with intermixed 50/50 isopropyl alcohol and water before cleaning it with a General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner from 3M like 08984. Use masking tape or a magnetic strip guide placed 35.0 mm (+/- 2 mm) from both top and bottom edges at 1125.0 mm (+/- 2 mm) horizontally on the panel. Warm the panel using J 25070 Heat Gun when body temperature remains below 66°F. Stick double-coated acrylic foam tape like 3M(R) Super Automotive Attachment Tape while staying away from touching the tape with your hands and keeping it away from dirt. Position the emblem/nameplate by peeling its back adhesive and holding against masking tape or magnetic strip. Press it strongly for 30 seconds to adhere well and then take off masking tape or magnetic strip.
