How to replace the MAP Sensor on 2008 Chevrolet Impala?

Start by taking off the intake manifold cover and cutting the connection of the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector. Start by disconnecting the MAP sensor electrical connector . Then if needed remove the spark plug wire clip from the intake manifold bracket and remove the upper intake manifold bolts to extract the MAP sensor along with its bracket and seal from the upper intake manifold. The installation process begins with placing the MAP sensor seal within the upper intake manifold followed by connecting the MAP sensor and bracket. Top manifold bolts must be installed first and tightened to a torque of 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Start by reattaching the spark plug wire clip to the intake manifold bracket after which connect the MAP sensor electrical connector and put back the intake manifold cover.
