How to replace the rear axle lower control arm on 2009 Cadillac Escalade?

The first step in removing and replacing the rear axle lower Control Arm requires a vehicle lift operation which reaches curb height. First remove the lower Control Arm retaining nuts and bolt before removing the lower Control Arm from the vehicle. You should mount your new lower Control Arm into position then bolt it down tight but wait to tighten the bolts until the suspension reaches its ride height. After you have properly positioned the component follow manufacturer guidelines to stabilize the lower Control Arm with the correct retaining nut torque. Tighten both lower Control Arm components to frame bolts at 100 nm (74 lb ft) while adding a torque angle of 55 degrees followed by a similar procedure for lower Control Arm to axle bolts. Next, drop the vehicle by removing the rear axle support.
