  A: Begin by turning off the ignition before removing the fuel injector sight shield to start the lower Intake Manifold (LP1 or LY7) replacement on 3.6l cars. Start by removing the air inlet duct then record how the booster hose connects to the system before you disconnect the brake booster check valve and hose. Turn off the ignition then disconnect the electrical connector of the purge solenoid valve and the purge line from its valve along with the fuel injector harness electrical connector and Throttle Body electrical connector. Next position the brake booster hose towards the Intake Manifold. First remove the wiring harness retainer and upper Intake Manifold brace stud and bolt before relocating the brace along with the harness. Remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose and electrical connectors from the right bank camshaft cover and barometric pressure sensor and Intake Manifold runner control solenoid. Gently detach the left bank ignition coil wiring harness from its mount while preserving upper to lower Intake Manifold bolt retention and avoiding fuel pipe damage. Remove the bolts from the Intake Manifold before moving the part to reach the fuel pipe connector. Detach the fuel feed pipe retainer so you can remove the feed pipe from its connection to the Fuel Rail. Inspection and cleaning of both the Intake Manifold and sealing surfaces needs to be completed before reinstallation of the Intake Manifold. Lock the lower Intake Manifold Gasket into place while fitting the Intake Manifold followed by plugging in the fuel injector harness electrical connector, connecting the Intake Manifold runner control solenoid electrical connector, plugging in the barometric pressure sensor electrical connector, and connecting the pcv hose which serves the right bank camshaft cover. Connect the wiring harness retainer while verifying connector establishment before attaching the Throttle Body electrical connector followed by linking the fuel injector harness electrical connector. You must route the fuel feed pipe towards the Fuel Rail then fit the purge line to the purge solenoid valve before installing the fuel pipe retainer. As a last step connect the purge solenoid valve electrical connector before you install the brake booster hose with check valve to the brake booster alongside the air inlet duct and the fuel injector sight shield.
