2009 Cadillac STS Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the Power Steering Reservoir (LY7) (3.6L) on 2009 Cadillac STS?
A: You need to begin with fuel injector sight shield and front air deflector removal in order to replace the Power Steering Reservoir (LY7) (3.6L). Use a drain pan below the car before disconnecting the power steering cooler hose and the power steering reservoir outlet hose from the power steering reservoir. Take out the power steering reservoir after removing its retaining bolts. Place the new power steering reservoir inside the vehicle while you secure its retaining bolts which should be tightened to 9 Nm (80 lb in). Join the power steering reservoir outlet hose to its corresponding connection and also link the power steering cooler hose. Perform power steering system bleeding after draining the pan. Complete the process by reinstalling the front air deflector together with the fuel injector sight shield.
