How to replace the Rear Ride Height Sensor on 2009 Cadillac XLR?

The first step to replace the electronic suspension rear position sensor requires users to turn off the Ignition Switch while supporting and lifting the vehicle. The tire and wheel assembly needs removal before disconnecting the electronic suspension control (ESC) position sensor harness connector. The installation process begins with disconnecting the position sensor link from its position on the control arm link stud and the removal of the position sensor mounting bolt to extract the position sensor from the vehicle. The installation process requires mounting the position sensor onto the vehicle while installing the position sensor mounting bolt before torquing it to 7 nm (62 lb in). Position the sensor link onto the stud of the control arm link then reconnect it to the position harness connector of the esc. Reattach the tire together with its wheel before lowering the vehicle to its original position.
