How to replace the rear wheel bearing and wheel hub on a drum brake system on 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt?

You must lift your vehicle and put supporting stands under it before working on drum brake rear wheel bearing and hub replacement. First remove the tire wheel unit then take out the Brake Drum. Insert a supporting tool into the drum brake actuator access hole of the backing plate to prepare it for installation. When the vehicle contains abs technology disconnect the electrical connection at the Wheel Speed Sensor. Loosen wheel bearing/hub assembly nuts and take out the assembly from its location between brake backing plate and rear axle. Set the wheel bearing/hub assembly onto the thickness of the backing plate along with the rear axle assembly. Fasten the wheel bearing/hub assembly nuts onto the axle body by tightening them across the assembly in a crisscross pattern to 45 nm (33 lb ft) with an extra 30 degrees rotation at the end. Secure the abs Wheel Speed Sensor electrical connector back in place and dispose of the brake backing plate support followed by fixing the plug into its drum brake actuator opening. .position the wheel before allowing the car to come back on the ground.
